| The state of Florida is constitutional mandated to operated under a balanced budget. Florida has an excess of six billion dollar reserve funds and i don't see a need for an income tax. I would need more information on the reason to charge bottled water companies an excise tax. The need to cut down on single use plastic bottles for environmental concerns needs to be addressed. | |||

| The commission on redistricting I would want to know the bipartisan makeup. A constitutional amendment was past in 2018 so as not to have district lines drawn to favor a particular party or individual. However, this does not help candidates for the 2020 election where district lines exist to favor a party or individual. | |||

| The number 18 seems to be an arbitrary number for a cutoff for juvenile vs. adult. This does not relieve the individual to act in a responsible manner. The age of reason from right and wrong has been established from a young age. This is used as an excuse to commit crimes and nothing can be done to me attitude. Felony drugs offenses I do not see as non - violent. Deaths occur from overdoses, violent crimes to support the addiction and tuff wars. I'm retired law enforcement and spent a lot of years taking drugs off the street. | |||

| The state of FL does not have an income tax. Minimum wage increase within reason as in COLA. It's not a livable wage. It's entry level. If there is a $15 minimum wage how will skilled workers that are making $15 an hour be compensated. I'd venture to say they won't due to increase employer costs. Paid family leave would be a benefit that can come out of vacation or sick leave. There are avenues of relief to small businesses. Educational institutions and large corporations need to be vetted more closely before receiving funds. | |||

| The state and local school boards should be autonomous and free from federal interference. Charter schools in my opinion take some of the burden off the pubic school system and to my knowledge follow the same criteria as public schools. My daughter is a teacher and their salaries, benefits need to be increased. Teachers work does not stop after leaving the classroom. Lot they do on their own time and not compensated for. Not to mention out of pocket expense to subsidize their teaching environment. Unlawful immigrant are illegals and not immigrants. My grandparents came to the US legally. Rules. | |||

The only benefit was 30% federal tax credit which has been reduced and no state incentives. New construction and major renovation should include renewable energy. B) Within reason. Everything has a waste bi product. C) Everglades restoration needs to be completed. Building moratorium needs to implemented especially at the fringes of the everglades. Lake Okeechobee needs a run off basin to store additional fresh water and not dumped into the ocean. | |||

No one can tell a lawful citizen how firearms will be kept out of the hands of criminals. B) If your a CCF holder a background has been conducted. If your not there is a waiting period. C) This is not for just anyone. Need specialized and recurrent training not just a criminal background check. I feel a lot of needless deaths and injury could be eliminated. If an employer has a dress code to run the establishment in an efficient and profitable manner it needs to be adhered to. There are employment options to ones lifestyle without infringing on established employers. | |||
| Substitute teachers should have a uniform state requirement to have at least an associate degree. To my knowledge there are areas of Florida that only require a high school diploma. Opioid abuse needs to have some blame on doctor shopping and prescriptions abuse. Drug mules bring in people from out of state for prescriptions return to their origin and illegally sell the narcotic. I'm not opposed to help someone that unfortunately got addicted through no fault of their own. | |||
| Affordable Housing - Appropriate Sadowski trust funds. If I'm elected I'll take a 50% pay cut and challenge my fellow legislature's to do the same until such time as deemed the majority of small businesses are up and running. Clean water, solid waste disposal, safe schools and neighborhoods, law enforcement funding. Without law enforcement there can be no justice and safe streets. Law enforcement training funds need to be used wisely and edited. Law enforcement officers have a very time consuming and recurrent training schedule mandated by the state. Thank you |
